Roses covered the clothes my sister & I wore on our first trip to Paris. During this visit we shared a rose macaron, and were reminded of my great grandmother. My family remembers her when the flower is present in our lives, because of an heirloom necklace she gifted my mom which encases a rose petal.

Piña fabric is a traditional Filipino textile made from the fibers of pineapple leaves. Sewed in the center are pearl & gold beads that are resemblant of a set of earrings that belonged to my great grandmother.
