My Statement Pieces  

 

When my great grandmother was a child, she loved to wear beautifully embroidered clothes.  Even during playtime and regular days at home, she would ask her mom to dress her up in embellished dresses. To make her happy, her mother thought of creating embroidered lace appliques, that could be pinned onto her daughter's everyday clothes. I find the idea of wearing unique statement pieces brilliant and wonderfully sustainable. Each one holds a sense of love, beauty, and creativity and honours my family's history. My pieces are created from secondhand fabric and can be transformed into unlimited styles - that make a statement.
